Karen brings a truly global perspective to investment management, built over 20 years in capital markets with leading international firms in Toronto, New York, Boston, and London. Most recently, she served as a Managing Director at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets, where she cultivated deep relationships with sophisticated institutional clients across Corporate Access, Prime Brokerage, and Equity Sales and Trading.
At Forthlane, Karen works closely with ultra-high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, foundations, and endowments, taking the time to understand the full picture of each client's financial life. She is known for translating complex investment concepts into clear, actionable advice and for building enduring relationships grounded in trust and an elevated standard of care.
Karen is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Queen's University, along with executive training in Strategic Analytics from the Queen's Smith School of Business. She was the recipient of the 2023 Women in Capital Markets Executive Leaders Award. A community leader and philanthropist, Karen sits on the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation President's Council and had led fundraising campaigns for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. Karen lives in Toronto with her husband and three daughters.
